Hi, I’m Casey 👋
Brand Builder · Creative Director · Certified Night Owl · Caffeine Enthusiast.

I grew up in the tiny Northern Michigan village of Pellston — yes, village. No stoplights, but somehow an airport. That kind of small-town upbringing teaches you to be resourceful, independent, and maybe a little stubborn. I’ve been creating for as long as I can remember, and that “make something out of nothing” mindset still drives everything I do today.

My career path has been anything but straight. I’ve been:
📚 A librarian (yes, I still love the Dewey Decimal System)
🎨 A short-lived tattoo apprentice (turns out no one wants a shaky tattoo artist)
🍷 The owner of a paint-and-sip business (with some very enthusiastic students)

But behind it all, I was always designing. Eventually I landed in marketing, screenprinting, and then the cannabis industry — where I climbed to creative director for one of Michigan’s top retailers. That’s when I knew: I wasn’t meant to just make things pretty. I was meant to help brands stand out and shine.

Now? I run Brand Storey Studio — a boutique agency for emerging CPG brands and indie retailers who want more than “nice” branding. My clients want strategy + design that gets them noticed.

When I’m not building bold brands, you can find me hanging out with my husband Caleb, our house horse (aka Gus, my 130lb Irish wolfhound mix), and our two cats. I love playing D&D with friends, working on my own art and products, and sneaking north for lake time whenever I can.
