This incredible solid walnut credenza was rescued before it was lost for good — and after a full restoration here at Baker Hardwoods, it’s now even more stunning than the day it was built.

Originally handcrafted in Arkansas in 1977, this piece already had unbelievable character with its highly figured solid walnut doors and drawer fronts. To bring it back to life, we removed the worn top and replaced it with an absolutely gorgeous 5A curly maple top loaded with figure and movement. The contrast between the deep walnut and bright curly maple completely transformed the piece into a one-of-a-kind statement.

Nearly 50 years later, this credenza proves exactly why handcrafted hardwood furniture still matters. Real wood. Real craftsmanship. Built to last generations — not just a few years.
