Elk are one of my favorite subjects to photograph, but especially right now when fall colors are in full swing, and the elk are in the rut season.

Black bear found on a recent trip into Rocky Mountain National Park. This is one of maybe five hears I have seen, and only one of a few of those i have been able to photograph. Seemed like it was eating recently and resting.

Rocky Moose

The other night our family went up to Rocky Mountain National Park with hopes of seeing some wildlife. We went to an area that often has moose sightings and started walking around.  We got about half way through the trail and saw this bull moose coming over the hill before wading into the lake to eat. It was a lot of fun to be able to watch and capture this one

I felt the image worked well in both black and white and color, so uploading both. Which do you prefer?

Abbott Church
Located 100 miles east of Denver is the small Abbott Church. I left home around midnight to get to the church as the Milky Way would be lining up behind it. This was one of my first times viewing stars while not in the mountains, and it was amazing to see the more expanded view while on the open plains. There were barely any sounds aside from the couple times a coyote pack was howling
