I love upcycling old items such as jeans and men's ties and giving them new life.

This snowy weather gave me a chance to get back to my sewing room. :) This time I worked on a couple projects friends had requested. Hmmmm... more snow on its way, what should I work on next?

I had some fun last week trying out a new (to me) pattern from Linds Handmade called "The Tracy Wristlet". I love the plain panels allowing me to show off the waistbands and hems of old jeans. Inside is a zipper pocket and card slots. I added a long strap instead of a wristlet. What do you think, do you prefer a wristlet?

I also dug out some tie scraps and made these box pouches. The little one is perfect for holding all your chargers when traveling. The larger ones are great for, well about anything!

Everything will be available at Brown Street Emporium next week. Come check out the booth I share with Turkey Ridge Designs and Ritzy Rose !!!

We made it home safe and sound from a fabulous roadtrip to Seattle to see our grandson (and his parents 😀). We were able to see 9 national parks along the way. Whew! But it is good to be back in my sewing room. Here's a couple items I made recently from old jeans and work kackis. Hmm... maybe some denim pouches will be next...
