Dog Squad
Dog Squad is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit shelter-less foster-based dog rescue organization dedicated to giving dogs a second chance.
Thursday was a big day for the Pyrenees family.
Eleanor and the pups had their first visit at Riverside Vet —and Earl decided to join, too.
Here’s a quick health update on the family:
🤍 Eleanor
This week, Eleanor officially weaned her babies. Courtney and Matt have been intentionally giving her time away from the puppies so she can finally rest and begin focusing on herself. She is still far too underweight and weak to safely receive vaccines, but Dr. Price treated her painful ear infections and started another round of dewormer to help tackle her parasite burden. She has a long road ahead, but she’s finally getting the care she’s deserved all along.
🤍 Earl
Earl’s ears are honestly some of the most severe ear infections we’ve ever seen. In one ear, Dr. Price couldn’t even see an eardrum. He went home with stronger antibiotics and will also begin a course of prednisone in hopes of finally getting this under control.
🤍 Stanley
• 6 weeks old
• 15 pounds (the smaller brother!)
• Received his very first puppy vaccine.
🤍 Norman
• 6 weeks old
• 19.7 pounds (the extra large boy!)
• Received his very first puppy vaccine.
Now that the boys are fully weaned, it’s time for the next chapter.
We have secured an amazing foster home for Stanley, but Norman still needs a foster family.
If you’ve been thinking about fostering, this oversized fluffy puppy could be your perfect match. Dog Squad provides the veterinary care and supplies—you provide the love, patience, and safe place for him to grow.

**And before anyone asks… no, the boys cannot stay together.
This decision isn’t about convenience—it’s about giving them the best chance to become confident, well-adjusted adult dogs. Once puppies are weaned, separating littermates is an important part of healthy social and emotional development. Raising them together places them at risk for littermate syndrome, where they become overly dependent on one another leading to behavioral challenges.
The kindest thing we can do is what sets them up for the healthiest future. 🤍

These two dogs survived so much before they ever found each other 🐶🐶
Bernie and Atticus ended up on euthanasia lists. Both lost the same leg. Then, after they were rescued, they got one more unbelievable surprise: a DNA test revealed they're actually family!
Now they're getting the second chance they always deserved...together.
