When people ask me why I created Mama Bee PT🐝, the answer is simple:

After more than 15 years as a pediatric physical therapist, I've had the privilege of helping hundreds of babies and families reach milestones they never thought possible.

But throughout my career, I kept noticing the same thing.

Parents weren't just looking for therapy.

They were looking for reassurance.

They were looking for someone to answer their questions, ease their worries, and help them feel confident that they were doing the best they could for their child.

I also saw how difficult it was for new mothers to prioritize their own recovery.

Between sleepless nights, feeding schedules, packing up the diaper bag, arranging childcare, and simply leaving the house with a newborn, getting to appointments often felt impossible.

No mother should have to choose between caring for herself and caring for her baby.

That's why I created Mama Bee PT.

I wanted to bring expert, evidence-based physical therapy directly into the homes of families, where healing naturally happens.

A place where mothers can recover without the stress of traveling.

A place where babies can learn, grow, and thrive in the comfort of their own environment.

And most importantly, a place where parents feel supported instead of overwhelmed.

At Mama Bee PT, I don't just treat babies or mothers—I care for the whole family.

My goal is to take away the guessing, replace fear with confidence, and help families enjoy this season of life instead of constantly worrying if they're doing enough.

Because these moments really do go by quickly.

And I believe every parent deserves the support to be fully present for them.

Pure Michigan summer is here, and it’s the perfect time to let your little ones explore the world through their senses!

Have you ever put your baby’s feet in grass or sand only to have them immediately pull away, cry, or want to be picked up? That’s actually very common!

Different textures can feel overwhelming at first, but repeated exposure in a safe, playful way helps babies learn, adapt, and build confidence. 🌱🏖️

Sensory experiences like grass, sand, dirt, water, and even tree bark help support:

✔️ Motor development
✔️ Nervous system regulation
✔️ Exploration and curiosity
✔️ Confidence in new environments

The key? Keep offering the experience without forcing it. Sometimes it takes many exposures before a child feels comfortable.
