Wow. This one—like one of my favorite films, My Neighbor Totoro—simultaneously moved me and opened the dusty eyes of my imagination.

It says it's aimed at ages 8-12, and that sounds right. But in recent years I've come to understand what C.S. Lewis meant when he wrote, "some day you will be old enough to start reading fairy tales again."

This one is especially perfect to read aloud with a daughter or son.
