Happy Constitution Day!!

I pray for our country and am thankful President Trump was apparently not seriously injured. I am heartbroken to hear the reports an attendee was killed (I hope those reports are not accurate).

Political violence is disgusting and cowardly.

Thank you #2:

Eight counties over 3,000 square miles means an enormous bit of geography to cover. You can’t do that effectively without a team of people supporting you. The following people were my “Team Siebert” reps in the counties, and I was so blessed by each of them! They organized volunteers, dropped literature, put out yard signs, helped me navigate each county’s political system, and just generally were incredible supporters!

I gained new friends along the way and each of these people are among these new friends – I am so blessed!

Kathy Clapp and Rodney Creech – Preble County – THANK YOU for taking time out of your busy schedules (and your own campaigns!) to support me!

Lori Viars and Joy Van Patten – Warren County – the amount of time, energy, prayer, and resources you supported me with in Warren County simply cannot be overstated.

Josh Barnes – Clermont County – I appreciate you so much! Clermont County is enormous, and you helped me navigate the waters there so well! Special shout out to Leslie Knepper and Luiza McQueen too!

Kelly Faas and Mariah Votel – I LOVE Brown County! You opened your arms and hearts to me, and introduced me to some of the finest people in the 12th District! You made me laugh so hard – Brown County is so blessed to have you both!

Diane Rhonemus – Clinton County - you have one of the sweetest spirits I’ve ever met! But underlying that sweet temperament is a spine of steel – just the kind of woman I like! It was truly an honor and privilege to get to know you – I’m so happy to call you friend!
Seth Hodge and John Rhoad – Fayette County – you spent so much time going door to door on my behalf, and it meant the world to me! I would not have been as successful in Fayette County without your efforts!

Michelle Anderson – Madison County – you are an incredible lady, and I am so happy we met! Thank you so much for your incredible efforts in Madison – all the phone calls and texts were so helpful!

For those who use their TL/DR buttons – just know that I am enormously thankful to a great number of people who helped me win the primary. While it was my name on the ballot, this certainly was a “Team Siebert” effort! I’m breaking this up into three separate posts to focus on the “thank yous” I owe to people in various contexts. Please know I am humbled by the support I received not only from these people, but from all the tens of thousands of people who voted for me in this election!

I am 100% sure I will forget someone – please accept my apology in advance when I do!

I do want to humbly thank God. In today’s cynical world, when people thank God after a victory of some sort, it can inspire eye rolls. But there were truly hundreds of “But God” moments in my campaign. For me, any thankfulness must begin and end with Him.
My mom is in heaven now, but today I’m thanking her. She taught me to always stand up for what I believe. She taught me there was no such thing as a stupid question. Thousands of my classmates throughout the years are probably annoyed to no end that she taught me those lessons! But I wouldn’t be here today without her love, support, and encouragement!

Scott Siebert – you kept asking what my dream was until I told you I wanted to be a lawyer. Then you said, “You’re more than smart enough. Go to law school.” Then you supported me every step of the way through that journey, taking over many of my former SAHM tasks. You never complained once in three years, although you had plenty of justification to do so! When I started considering running, you were my biggest cheerleader. Thanks for always being in my corner!

Rick Woolf – my high school history teacher – like my mom, you always encouraged this kid from a small town to ask questions and never shut me down when I offered my strong opinions. You inspired me. It meant the world to me that you were one of the first people to congratulate me on election night.

Bob Clegg and Traci Saliba and the team at Midwest Communications – I simply could not have won this election without you. Your expert advice and your phenomenal strategic planning and ex*****on were always spot on! Shout out to Bob Kish for his excellent video production that helped my message of the importance of judicial philosophy get out! Tyler Herrmann – thanks for referring me to Traci!

Nancy Riggs – I asked you to be my campaign manager and Butler County chair, and you said, “I don’t think I can do that.” You were wrong. I could not have asked for anyone better to walk alongside me every step of the way. And once I learned not to call you before 10am, we were off to the races! You went to meetings with me, got volunteers lined up, organized those volunteers, sent post cards, dropped literature, helped with yard signs, and a thousand other things I can’t possibly list here.

Erin Edwards – I knew asking one of my best friends, who also happens to be an engineer raised by two accountants to be my campaign treasurer was a smart move! Turned out to be one of the smartest moves I made. She took on all the boring, behind the scenes money stuff and her one job was to “keep me out of jail” – she did that with excellence!!!

Joey Ashbrook and Brian Fox – you were incredible in helping me raise funds to support my campaign! Joey – I was on the fence about running. You said, “we need an advocate for the law.” That statement convinced me – I’m enormously grateful! Brian – your heart and humor was evident every step of the way – whether that “step” was talking about going to law school as a second career, making a key job transition, or offering advice along the way in this campaign!

VIP Printing – Dan and Doug – you were so great to work with all along the way!
