A full circle Helotes Elementary moment: Graduating Senior Maddox on campus with his Kindergarten cousin Waylon for Senior Walk. Maddox and his brothers all attended Helotes Elementary School and now Waylon is carrying on the family tradition. 🌟

The end of year KAMP (Kids and Multiple Possibilities) provides all Helotes students the opportunity to explore a specific area of interest. It is our hope that kids will have a fun learning experience and make some amazing memories along the way.

This year we have KAMPs for chocolate dipping, food science, bead making, painting with a twist, scavenger hunts, card games, paper mache, scrapbooking and more!

Thank you PTA for making this possible!!!

Big announcement: We are getting chickens! πŸ“

Students from the Chicken Tenders Club recently represented our campus at the EcoRise Showcase held at the UTSA Downtown Campus.

Students proudly presented their plans for an upcoming chicken coop on campus and shared the environmental benefits of raising chickens at school. Through research, collaboration, and public speaking, students explained how the project will support sustainability, responsibility, and hands-on learning opportunities for all of our Bulldogs.

We cannot wait for the chickens to arrive during the 2026-2027 school year! πŸ₯š

Last week, Helotes Elementary was filled with many famous Texans as 4th graders brought history and culture to life during their Living Wax Museum! From Selena to George Strait to Sam Houston, students researched influential Texans and transformed into their chosen figure for the museum experience.

Students impressed visitors by sharing speeches full of facts and information while dressed as their famous Texan. It was a creative and engaging way to combine research, public speaking, and Texas history. Great job to our 4th graders and teachers for bringing learning to life β€” literally!
