This Friday, June 19, Workspace will be closed in observance of Juneteenth (Freedom Day), a pivotal moment in American history. On that date in 1865, enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, were finally informed of their emancipation, marking the end of chattel slavery in the United States.

This is a time for all of us to reflect on the legacy of slavery, celebrate the immense contributions of Black Americans, and recommit to the ongoing journey toward true equality and racial justice.
