Hey everyone! I have a REALLY exciting announcement to make! While Southern Curls is still out of commission, I will be working hand-in-hand with another breeder! Adoptable babies will be posted soon. Keep an eye out! You may find something that you like. 😉
So, guys! I'm gonna post my first recipe on here. It's a really, really simple one, but it's one your rats may LOVE! And since here in the South, we're starting to get into that warmer weather, it'd be a great treat.
So what is this yummy treat called? Peanut and Banana Yogurt drops. Super simple, super easy, and SUPER yummy.
Ingredients:
Plain Yogurt
All natural Peanut butter
A banana!
The recipe can be adjusted based on how many you wanna make. These are great for dogs, too!
Place 2 cups of plain yogurt, one tablespoon of all natural peanut butter, and 1 banana in a blender and blend until COMPLETELY smooth. NO LUMPS. It will give it an almost pancake-batter texture.
Now comes the fun part. You can pipe this yummy mixture into silicone molds, ice trays, or pipe onto a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper and make little yogurt drops with them. After you've decided how you want your little treats to look, pop those suckers into the freezer for no less than 4 hours but preferably overnight. Once they're hardened, give them directly to your pet. The cold makes for a refreshing treat for this warmer weather we're starting to get into.
You can also use this recipe to pipe onto homemade dog biscuits so your pooch has an excellent icing on his already delicious treats!
