A local resident stumbled upon the remains of the world’s longest woolly rhino horn—dating back 19,700 years—in the thawing permafrost of Yakutia, Siberia.

Measuring about 5 feet 5 inches (165 cm) long, scientists say its sheer size, growth rings, and shape may reveal new clues about Ice Age life, including how long these ancient beasts lived and which s*x dominated the tundra.
