The Great Commission
Matthew 28:16-20
“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing in the name of Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” The gospel today reminds us of one of the most exciting mandates Jesus gives us, to go and spread the good news! Ushering everyone we meet, in every nation into an encounter with the living God is part of what we were created to do! Today we not only remember this important direction from Jesus, but we are also reminded of the most beautiful reality, that He is ALWAYS with us, to the end of the age. Our prayer as a community and as a family is that in everything we do, we are leading others into the gospel of truth and love, making disciples of nations for the Kingdom of God and above all, our prayer is that we always remember that He is with us. When we remember His presence, we give it the honor and cherishment it deserves, and because He is always with us, we are empowered as His children to change nations.
So many people have expressed to us that the artwork we sell leads them into an experience of the gospel and of the love of God, regardless if they have visited the Holy Land or not! This news really warms our hearts, as it is our desire that people experience the love of God through every detail of our paintings and the messages that go along with them. We are SO EXCITED to announce that we will be having a MAJOR sale beginning today on ALL our pieces. We know that times right now for everyone are confusing, discouraging, hard and even really challenging, so it is our hope that the light, love, beauty and truth that our images bring into the homes of many will be an opportunity for you and your home to remember how loved and protected you are by God.

What does it mean to “bear fruit”? As christians, and followers of Jesus we were created to be fruitful. There are many examples of this mandate in Scripture, where Jesus tells us that we are chosen and appointed to bear fruit, and not only much fruit but fruit that lasts. But what does this mean?
The Tuesday of Holy Week reminds us of the Fig tree in the book of Matthew, where Jesus and the disciples approach the tree, looking for fruit but find that this tree is fruitless. Jesus uses this tree to testify to one thing; this tree was using soil and taking up the ground space, yet not bearing any fruit. How many times, as christians do we do things out of “habit” or without the conscious mindset of loving God and others; like praying, going to church, or even the way we live. We are taking up ground space, but bearing no fruit. To “bear fruit” in our lives, means walking in real virtue and love, which can only come from intimate relationship with Jesus. Bearing fruit means that when people experience or taste our lives, that it closely resembles Jesus.
As we prepare our hearts for the coming of Good Friday and Easter Sunday, let us pray that through close relationship with the victorious King, we may bear fruit in our lives that is lasting and tastes like Jesus!
God's Word tells us that the people of Jerusalem cut palm branches, waved them in the air, and laid them out on the ground before Jesus as He rode into the city. The palm branch represented goodness, victory and honor. These palms were symbolic of the final victory He would soon claim over sin and death, yet they also officially began His journey toward betrayal and the cross.
The Holy City was facing much turmoil, conflict and confusion, yet the people spoke from their hearts saying “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!”
Proclaiming that Jesus was King, and treating Him as such even during difficult and confusing times.
In this Holy Week, may God direct our thoughts and attention towards what matters most, proclaiming Jesus Christ as our King… Let's choose to focus on worshipping our Lord, thanking Him for the gift of His sacrifice, celebrating the power of the Resurrection, and rejoicing in the new life that is found in His victory! Jesus you are our King!
Happy Palm Sunday, from all of us at Pilgrim Artworks!

Upon the ground where His feet stood, the waters where He gathered, and the rocks He climbed, there is light. A light that reminds us of His presence that never leaves us. In times like these, we remember God’s promise to us, that His love is steadfast, that He is our comfort and that He is good even in the midst of dark storms.
Psalm 23 says “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil. For you are with me; your rod and your staff comfort me.”
Jesus is the good shepherd, and we can have confidence that we are protected because He is always with us, and He who is good and never changing will guide us through any storm that may pass. We no longer have to fear, because we are in the arms of the good shepherd.
Prayers from all of us at Pilgrim Artworks to you and your family during this time.
