The Texas Hill Country flood was, obviously, a very devastating event. We continue to pray for bodies to be found so that closure can happen for those families. And a lot of finger pointing has been done as well. But some have attributed the event to a lot of - well, we'll call it folly.

For my Texas friends, we are familiar with how devastating rainfall can be in the Texas Hill Country. We understand the terrain. And we know why it can have an impact on people - it is simply a gorgeous piece of God's creation and people LOVE to go there.

But for all of my non-Texas friends it is assumed you would not know. It is a very, very unique geological setup. And this video does an excellent job in explaining the reason the flood was so devasting.

For everyone - let's not point the fingers about decisions made my camp directors and others. I'm not saying there isn't room for some deeper analysis and "fixing". But to say people were negligent - hmmm, I don't think we should go that far.

Nonetheless, give this video a watch and you will see what really caused this flood event. Nope, it wasn't cloud-seeding. It wasn't the National Weather Service., It wasn't President Trump. Nope, just good old fashioned nature doing it's thing - in a very specific place with a very significant ramification.
