Somewhere along the way, Maple and Syrup needed people.

We do not know exactly how these two young rabbits ended up outside, and we do not want to assume. Maybe they were part of an accidental litter. Maybe they wandered away. Maybe someone thought they could make it on their own.

What we do know is that they did not choose this, and none of it was their fault.

Thankfully, when Maple and Syrup needed help, a kind family chose not to look away. They opened their home and gave these babies a safe place to land.

Now Maple and Syrup need time, food, supplies, and veterinary care, including their future spay and neuter surgeries, before they can begin their next chapter.

Donations help us provide everything they need while they grow. You can donate toward their care online or drop off hay, litter, pellets, and other bunny supplies at the HRR Center on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 AM to 4 PM.

Happy Forever Home Friday to Shamwow, now Ralph!

Ralph’s story started when he was found injured in a yard and brought to GCVS with a badly broken leg. His injury was severe enough that his leg needed to be amputated, and when we were asked if we could take him in, we said yes.

He made it through surgery wonderfully, but recovery was a little less straightforward. Ralph gave everyone a run for their money by getting into mischief with his stitches and proving very quickly that losing a leg had done absolutely nothing to slow him down.

Along the way, one of the veterinarians at GCVS had already started falling for him. Eventually, she reached out about taking him on a sleepover, and it did not take long for Ralph to make himself part of the family.

Now he has a new name, a brother named Tucker, and a forever home of his own.

We are so grateful to the teams at GCVS and Cypress Lakes Animal Hospital for helping Ralph through his injury, surgery, and recovery, and for giving him the care he needed to reach this happy ending.

From being found alone and injured in a yard to becoming a loved member of the family, this is the kind of update we never get tired of sharing.
