Angela kicks off the last week of our "What's Your Why?" series for Preservation Month with some international examples. She writes:

"My preservation “why” didn’t come from a single place, but rather from getting to visit historic buildings around the world. As a history lover, I was naturally drawn to historic sites because they offered a glimpse into worlds so different from the West Texas landscapes I grew up in. I knew early on that I wanted to work in a field that allowed me to explore and highlight stories of the past, a place I often found my mind wondering off to. It wasn’t until I realized the power that architecture has to express history, culture, art, and craftsmanship that I knew I had found my perfect career."
