Our bodies alert us to trouble in many ways, from an increased heart rate to sweating or tightness in the chest or gut.
The best way to teach yourself to be in tune with these instincts is to practice paying attention to physical feelings. Throughout the day, do a simple body scan to see what your body is telling you.
For example, if you are tense around certain people at work, take a moment to consider why. Perhaps they are crossing a boundary that you aren’t even aware of.
