Have you been wondering what the heck pre and probiotics are? day 12 is here to answer your questions.
Put simply, probiotics are good gut bacteria and prebiotics feed them. Prebiotics are fibers found only in plants, and facilitate the selective growth of beneficial gut bacteria. Probiotics are live organisms mainly found in fermented foods (shout out to my pickle lovers), and produce compounds that aide in immunity and prevent bad bacteria from growing in the gut.
