In the polio-ravaged 1950s, drive-ins boasted of being both entertaining and "flu and polio protected." It is no wonder why drive-ins are currently becoming a popular cry for entertainment across all social media platforms.
Movie theaters are closed across the country, but some drive-ins are seeing a resurgence in the wake of social distancing practices. While the live music concert and festival industry are in the same state, Chuly Events & Associates present the Drive-In Live Fest music series. Drive-In Live Fest features a series of concerts, in a drive-in setting, as a workaround for live music gatherings during the coronavirus pandemic.
Drive-In Live Fest kicks off in Houston, Texas at Sawyer Yards. There will be rows of neatly aligned parked vehicles that will expand across a field, facing the performance stage. Family-friendly pricing will be a crowd pleaser; Parking is first come first served; with vip, central, and side view options. Partial proceeds will benefit various community and national non-profit organizations.
We will provide state-of-the-art audio visual special effects that will contribute to the ambiance that festival goers are accustomed to. Drinks, food, and merchandise will be administered in a controlled and safe manner; following all recommended guidelines implemented by the city, state, and CDC. Restrooms will be sanitized frequently and face masks will be required for every individual on the festival grounds. Fireworks may be available, depending on the ground rules and regulations.
