I needed some time to soak in one of the greatest days I’ve ever had as mom. So here go my thoughts…
Our daughter was married not even two weeks ago on November 21st. We welcomed a new son, who is the perfect Cinderella shoe fit to Kamryn.
Next to choosing Jesus your child’s spouse is the greatest choice they’ll ever make. It’s serious business. I began praying for my children’s spouses when they were just babies. Prayer allows God to transport us to future times and spaces to lay the groundwork for our children to run upon.
Living in this reality where all the prayers, tears, and expectations for my daughter have come to pass is a feeling like no other. Such peace…such joy…such gratitude.

So our daughter, Kamryn, is getting married on Monday. For the first time in months, it was just our family, the five of us, gathered on the couch just like we’ve done hundreds of times before.
But last night was different. It was a sobering moment. We realized that it will no longer be “just us.” Come Monday, we’ll add a sixth member to our family…a new son and brother,
We cried. We prayed. We thanked God for bringing us this far. We’re turning a new page and we couldn’t be happier.

Guess whose birthday is today? 🎉🎉🎉 It’s my husband, Kevin’s special day!
Without this guy, my life would be pretty mundane. He’s a big ball of energy who keeps me on my toes. From the moment his feet hit the floor in the morning, life becomes a wild adventure.
He works hard and he loves hard. He’s a special one!

I sense the Lord saying, “You are so well protected right now from all the adversity coming your way. I want you to see it. I want you to realize it.”
Isaiah 54:17 says, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper.” God is covering your family today.
Don’t succumb to the scorching heat of negativity and uncertainty. God is your shield. Rest in his shade. You can trust him.
