Black History is American History and should be celebrated more than just 28 days a year.

Many African Americans have made countless contributions to this country and we celebrate them for their voice, their sacrifice, and their accomplishments.

As an African American woman, I am beyond proud of the ancestry from which I come. The lineage. The heritage. The culture. The melanin. It's everything. I encourage everyone reading this post to learn about 1 new African American figure a week who has made history in this country in honor and celebration of Black History Month.
