- Looking for Blackberries.

This series explores the quiet act of searching—for sweetness, for memory, for something just beyond reach. Blackberries grow wild and close to the ground, hidden among thorns. To gather them requires patience, attention, and a willingness to move through the bramble.
The women in these paintings stand in that space of noticing. Ravens appear as companions and witnesses—symbols of intuition, transformation, and messages carried between worlds.
These portraits imagine moments of awareness: when a person pauses, listens, and senses something deeper moving beneath the surface of ordinary life. Looking for blackberries becomes a metaphor for seeking what is nourishing and true, even when it is difficult to reach.
