đ It's the First Day of Fall! đ
Just as the seasons shift, so do the needs of businesses and organizations. At Mauney Business Communications, we believe the art of strategic communications is about being ready for every season and every situationâwhether itâs building awareness, strengthening engagement, or navigating through challenges.
Strong communication isnât one-size-fits-all. Itâs about listening, adapting, and crafting messages that resonate with the right audience at the right time. Thatâs how we help our clients connect with confidence and clarityâno matter what changes come their way.
Hereâs to a season of growth, adaptability, and meaningful conversations. đ

Happy August!
Did you know that August is National Black Business Month in the U.S.?
Weâre proud to spotlight our client, Heavenly Delicious BBQ-N-Catering, a Black-owned business bringing delicious barbeque to the Houston area through pop-up food truck events and catered celebrations.
Owned by Katherine and Timothy Brown, this husband-and-wife team is building a flavorful legacy rooted in tradition and community. Itâs an honor to work alongside them to grow their brand and expand their visibility.

đ Happy Monday! đ
What better way to kick off a new week (it's also National Junk Food Day, by the way) than by diving back into our Branding Workshop Series. Today we'll let you in on one of our favorite branding workshop exercises. It's called "The Ideal Customer."
đ„ Meet Your Ideal Customer(s)
In this exercise, we create 2â3 fictional (but very detailed!) characters that represent your dream customers. We give them names, backstories, goals and challenges.
We explore:
- Demographics & interests
- Pain points & buying habits
- The real problems theyâre trying to solve
By the end, youâll have a crystal-clear picture of who your brand is serving, how to connect with them authentically, and what messaging actually matters.
This is one of those deceptively simple exercises that sparks powerful insights, and honestly, itâs a lot of fun!
Stay tuned for Part 3 of our Branding Workshop series next week.
