Houston is preparing for FIFA World Cup 2026 in a way that leaves the city stronger.

Across the city, partners are advancing lasting improvements in parks, public spaces, mobility, infrastructure, lighting, transit access, beautification, and more—investments designed to serve Houstonians long after the tournament ends.

This new video tells that shared story, highlighting more than 200 projects, nearly $500 million in investment, and the broad coalition helping Houston meet this historic moment.

With support from the Mayor’s Office, FWC26 Host Committee, Harris County Houston Sports Authority, Houston First, METRO, Greater Houston Partnership, and more than 50 partner organizations, this work reflects what Houston does best: come together, get the work done, and build a stronger city for everyone.

Watch the video and see how Houston hosts better.
