Here’s another view of the V10 Viper engine fire table I built a few years back for a customer. This was a quick test inside the shop for staging purposes, yes venting was in place and this is obviously an outside toy for consistent use lol. This view better shows the car key to start up the pit and the gas pedal to control the flame as well as the racing seat chairs I built along with the console to hide the propane bottle. Just finished this Aston Martin v12 crankshaft table in an eye catching chrome colored powdercoat. It’s not the craziest build I’ve done like some in the past but this one is just clean, simple and cool. Troy happen to have some awesome vintage chairs from the 50s that we paired with it and set up in the store front. If you’re in the area come by and see it in person or dm me for more details.

Definitely been on a little bit of a lamp building kick lately lol. This speedometer came out of a late 50s Chevy truck and was a little too far gone to be rebuilt so it was repurposed. I cleaned up the cracked plastic and gauges best I could and wired in some led lights. I made a v-shaped I-beam with cutouts all welded to a harmonic balancer as the base. I felt this design, style and color looked appropriate for the gauges. Left the natural patina and bear metal and then hit it with a clearcoat. Small simple build but pretty cool piece I think. The 1950s was an era of beautiful, stylish luxury cars focused on comfort, eye catching looks backed with stout V8 American power. This 1956 Mercury Monterey Coupe engine block coffee table embodies just that. The 312 Y block has been repurposed and given new life as this piece. Industrial and rugged yet also streamlined and simply sophisticated. The gold and silver paint scheme was aim to resemble the colors found in Mercury’s clean but flashy jewelry-esque styled emblem on the car. Touches of raw clear-coated metal on the machined surfaces and pistons add a subtle but nice contrast to the gold paint.

So much work has gone into this table from buying the car, pulling the motor, cleaning, fabricating to now this, a cool table that proudly stands as a reminder of its past glory days in an era of quality luxurious American muscle cars.

1920s Model T gas tank turned into a back lit end table and shelving. Doubles as a liquor cabinet too lol.

A Few weeks ago I had a chance to go parts picking with a couple of friends. There was a local here in tomball who had a collection of various old car parts and he let us come grab what we wanted. Among the many parts was this Model T gas tank. It took a little time looking at it and turning it in different positions but I saw it’s potential as an end table, with shelving and lighting. The middle shelf was fabricated to match the upper and lower original metal bands, then patina’d to match the tank. I wired up some vintage style lights for a warm glow, then clear coated the whole thing to seal the beautiful original patina. Fun build and happy with how it turned out.
