Orant Charities
Orant uses a holistic, local, and data-driven approach to supporting women and communities in Malawi.
Watch closely — that's not just mud and water. That's the moment a community's life gets easier. After drilling, a fresh borehole breaks through, and clean, safe water reaches the surface for the very first time.
For so many families in rural Malawi, clean water has meant a long walk, an unsafe source, and hours lost every single day. A borehole like this one changes that overnight. It means healthier children, more time for school and work, and a community that can finally focus on building its future instead of just getting by.
None of this happens without you. Every borehole we drill is powered by supporters who believe clean water should never be a luxury.

This Fourth of July, we set up a lemonade stand at the Denton July 4th Parade and the response from the community blew us away.
We sold around 30 cups of lemonade, plenty of snacks, and somehow even managed to sell two carved wooden animals!
Every dollar raised went directly toward supporting families in Malawi, and we couldn't think of a more fitting way to spend Independence Day than raising money to bring a little more "freedom from worry" to people halfway across the world.
We also want to give a thank you to The Chestnut Tree for letting us take over their sidewalk for the day! And of course, thank you to everyone who stopped, bought a cup, and took a moment to learn about what we do. If you missed us at the parade, join us later this month at the 2026 Mudzi Gala! The Mudzi Gala is our hallmark event, and this year, we're bringing it up a notch. This now includes afterhours access to the Perot Museum, as well as curated activities in support of our important mission to help support the "Warm Heart of Africa." If you've been to the Mudzi Gala before, you know the feeling. The mission, the community, the sense that the evening actually means something. That part hasn't changed. But just about everything else has.
This year we went back to the drawing board and asked ourselves: How do we make this the event our guests have always deserved? The answer was a lot of listening, and a lot of work.
We're talking complimentary valet and a brand-new Field Street entrance. A red-carpet arrival with champagne and photos. Wolfgang Puck catering with food stations, passed hors d'oeuvres, and bars on every single floor of the Perot Museum, with two full hours to explore all levels. A new DJ, a new MC, a new auctioneer, a raffle, late-night chicken tenders and desserts, a coffee bar, a complimentary gift for every guest, and centerpieces you actually get to take home.
The mission is still the heart of it. Every ticket purchased, every bid placed, every dance had — it all goes toward healthcare, education, and clean water for families in Malawi. That has never changed, and it never will.
Tickets and sponsorships are available now, and the date is earlier this year, so don't wait.

Spending the week in Malawi where we are thrilled to see lime trees bearing fruit, fresh maize being dried, and fresh peanuts recently harvested.
The harvest season in Malawi brings renewed hope for the people in rural villages. Though this season did not turn out as well as we had hoped with regard to rainfall, we are still fortunate to have some maize and peanuts (or groundnuts, as they are known here) to harvest. It will sustain the people in our area for a time.
We’re having a great week here and love seeing our Malawian friends.

This is a special week for nonprofit organizations. It's Monthly Giving week - a time to focus our attention on those incredible people who provide sustaining, long-term gifts that allow us to live out our calling without worry of where the funding will come from next month. We're here this week to celebrate those of you who provide unfailing, life-giving donations so that we can continue the work that is so crucial to Malawi.
If you support our mission of bringing hope to the poorest people in the world, please consider becoming a monthly donor this week. You'll be joining an exclusive club of people who make a better life possible for the people of rural Malawi, who need your support desperately.
