Up close encounters with fish of this magnitude never cease to amaze me. Just their strength, power and sheer beauty. So many colors wrapped into the silver. This tarpon was traveling solo and was my first shot/cast of the morning. It hit the fly so hard it came half way out of the water and then proceeded to jump 7x more like a marlin than a tarpon.
