My mom came on here to brag about how well I behaved at the barrel race yesterday.. but she doesn’t realize I have been doing this can chasing thing for a long time and know how to use my good boy manners. I did have lots of fun and ran so fast. I got my treats after 😂

The Beggining
I first saw Chew Chew Showtime in Lubbock, Texas. We had gone on a trip to East Texas and were headed back to our home in New Mexico. Scrolling through Facebook, I saw an ad for a race horse for sale. I quickly contacted the owners and we made the detour on our way home to go see this horse that was named First Call Romance. Like our usual selves we got a little lost on the way but eventually made it to their place. I looked over the horse, rode him, and liked him enough to take him home. But before I did, like any horse crazy people, we had to ask what others they had. So this family, who are now good friends with us, showed us around their barn and pulled out a couple horses for us to see.
Then they got out this big grey stallion that looked like he stepped right out of the AQHA magazine. I instantly was in awe. Some horses just have that effect on people and he most definitely did. Of course I wanted to buy him and asked if they would sell him, but they said no and that he wasn't on the market. So we loaded up the other gelding that would soon be named “Riptide” and made the trip home. He was a good horse and I came to really like him, however we lost him too soon just a few short months later.
Then in early November of 2016 we got a call from the family we had bought him from telling us about how their father had gotten really sick and that they were having to sell all the horses so they asked if we were still interested in their big grey horse. Of course I said yes of course! So we set it up to meet in the middle so that I could pick him up. We drove 5 hours and so did they for us to meet in Ruidoso, NM. I can for sure tell you that when they pulled that big boy off the trailer I never knew how much he would impact my life. Let me first say that I didn't want a stallion, or need a stallion at the time. My family used to breed and raise foundation quarter horses but that wasn't somewhere I thought I would see myself. I love rodeo, and love to travel, and at the time I had the best line up of horses in my trailer that I ever had and was focused on rodeo.
But I got that horse home (who I named Creed) and he stole my heart. Not just because he was beautiful, because believe me he was and still is. But because he works so hard. He is gritty, and determined. When I have him under saddle he is always focused on his job and begs to work. He is classy and so honest. Creed quickly became my boy. He is sweet to everyone but definitely is my horse. He nickers at me every time he see’s me. Believe me when I say every time, without fail. I could walk around the side of his stall and he will talk to me when I come back in sight. He is a lover boy and likes to rest his head on my shoulder.
