CrossLife equips and empowers married couples and parents to cultivate LIFE in the home.
Three principles guide CrossLife’s mission:
A healthy marriage is the foundation of a healthy family
Most people would agree with this principle, but it brings up the question: what is a healthy marriage and how do we create and sustain one? These questions are crucial to human flourishing and the display of God’s glory, and their answers seem more elusive today than ever before. CrossLife equips couples to know what a healthy marriage looks like and empowers them to build one.
Parents are the primary disciplers of their children
The single greatest factor that predicts whether children will follow Christ as adults is the lived-out faith of parents in the home. Yet the current high rate of children who leave the faith suggests that many children are not being discipled in ways that endure. At CrossLife, we want to give parents a vision for their primary calling before God: to disciple their children toward mature, lifelong faith. We provide resources that equip and empower parents toward this end.
What disciples a believer evangelizes a non-believer
There are hundreds of millions of people in the U.S. who are not reachable by traditional evangelistic methods. There are also billions around the world who have yet to hear the gospel. At CrossLife, we believe that the work we do to equip and empower believers also helps to evangelize those outside the faith, around the world, who long for joy-giving marriages and families.
We carry out our mission through these primary ministries:
Conversations for LIFE: Conversations for LIFE is a podcast with hosts Kathleen and Jonathan where we explore topics vital to cultivating LIFE in the home. We draw on our training and background as a pastor and counselor, bringing in the wisdom of Scripture, the best research, and guest experts to bear on marriage and family. We invite you to join in the conversation and we welcome feedback and requests.
CrossLife Sermoncast: Being immersed in Scripture is essential for cultivating LIFE in the home. CrossLife sermons are designed to deepen our knowledge of God and understanding of His Word.
Articles: CrossLife articles are designed to expand our thinking and stir our imagination about God’s calling for us in the home and in the world
Interactive teaching series: Our intensive, extensive multi-media teaching programs, in production now, are designed to go deep into vital topics that form the foundation of our faith and enable us to pass it on to the next generation. They are based on Biblical truth and extensive research and are designed for husbands and wives, families, and church groups to go through together. Coming series will cover topics including:
The Biblical foundation for understanding our physical bodies, as well as the relevant applications for spirituality, sexuality, body image, and more.
Building a healthy, emotionally-connected, and resilient marriage that is a foundation for a healthy family.
Discipling your children in ways that produce lasting fruit in their lives.
Resources for missionaries: Having been missionaries in Asia, and knowing many current missionaries around the globe, we know intimately the extreme need, and dire lack, of marriage and family resources in local languages. We are partnering with missionaries overseas to develop and translate CrossLife teaching series to aid missionaries and Christians around the world in their work. These translated resources will be freely available digitally to reach and equip as many people as possible.
