The George Family Homeplace is a log cabin built in 1819 by Cornelius McHaney George after he returned from the War of 1812. He married Anne Dove.

Hope you have made your hotel reservation as the Hampton Inn in Gretna is booked solid. I'm sure many of you have made other arrangements, and we look forward to seeing all of you around 9:00AM, Saturday, October 15, at the Old Homestead.
We also have a private room reserved from around 12:30 to 3:30 at Mama Rosa's restaurant in Gretna where we will get to visit, to eat lunch and to celebrate Hunter's 90th Birthday. We are excited and look forward to seeing everyone soon.
