After recently losing a bunch of pictures of my most current projects to a digital camera error, I decided to upgrade my phone and just use it to document my work. Should have done it years ago.
I took a break from commissioned work and made this koa wood console table with no pre planning. Had some extra brass from a recent build, so it got some brass accents. It’s nice to forget about pleasing others for a minute and just build.

I have been experimenting with some simple wall mount shelf designs recently. Pieces that are versatile (plant stands, night stands, etc.), easy for customers to hang themselves, and affordable. Here are some prototypes. Thoughts?

Before and after pics of a cabinet refinishing job for the violin shop. Added some slatwall doors to display products.
Working for luthiers is fun but also humbling. They are masters of altering wood coloration, among other things. We made our own glaze to shift the cabinet’s finish to a warmer tone.

I am currently working through a bunch of cabinetry related projects for a local violin shop. Here are 2 point of sale/work stations. A radiused unit will connect the two, probably with some laser engraving. The last two pics are a storage cabinet for instrument cases. Next up is refinishing an existing display cabinet to match the color palette of the room.

Just wrapped up a big refinishing project. 10 beautiful doors in a historic Houston home. It was a pleasure to bring these doors back to life. As always, I was so wrapped up in the delivery and making sure the client was happy that I forgot to take good pictures.
These doors were a great example of the issues one runs into refinishing wood furniture or mill work. I will do a post soon covering this topic with some before pics.
