Shower - Mold growth on caulking ?

Shower caulking must endure heavy moisture conditions daily. It’s not surprising this is one of the most common areas of mold growth within a home. This growth often occurs within the caulking itself, which is why it is difficult to clean.
Replacing the caulking is usually necessary.

Why is mold growing under caulk?
Poor grout, misaligned tiles, and improper insulation can cause moisture to become trapped within the walls. This moisture will seep out, and cause mildew and mold to grow everywhere – including on the caulking.
