• File your protest online at [hcad.org] using the iFile number on your notice
• Gather evidence (comparable sales, photos, repairs needed, etc.)
• Schedule an informal meeting with an appraiser to try settling before a formal hearing
• Prepare for your hearing with clear documentation and a concise explanation
• or hire a company to protest on your behalf
