I hope everyone had a Happy Easter!
We are pleased to let you know that the very first iteration of our shopping pages are now Live. We started with Paint products and are adding in lamps now. It may look a bit "thin" for the moment but we are fleshing out the site every day!

Please let us know if you need us to post some products sooner. And if you have any special requests, please let us know that too. We are rolling out the updates in real time, so week to week you are likely to see a different site than the last time you looked. Thank you for kind support and patience!

Good Morning, folks!

The website trauma continues. After the site hijacking, were able to recover the files themselves. But the problem with restoring the old site is that the control panel was destroyed. And the site was built with an old product which is no longer supported. Our hosting firm that had been grandfathering us on a server which they no longer support does not want to make a unique server just for us. I mean, we are nice folks and all that but........

So, we will get a simple informational page up shortly to make sure you know how to reach us. And then in all of its transparent and ugly glory, you will see a new website rising from the ashes. How lucky for all of us......

Thank you for your kind indulgence while we get all of this rebuilt. Anyone interested in some part time work on a website?????

In case you were wondering.........our website got hijacked which is why it is down now. We are working on getting it restored but we are not entirely sure it going to come back completely intact.

So, don't panic. Leave the panic to us.... We have not gone away. And, we'll have something restored shortly. We had started the process of a new website build this summer anyway, and suddenly we'll be speeding that up now. So, good things are coming even if it is wrapped in this envelope of deep frustration with the way of the world.

Two quick notes:

1) Anyone in the Houston area interested in helping us with some simple cad drawings? These would similar to control risers.

2) Yes, to the folks that asked if we had any of the 5, 10, 14 degree barrels in our rental inventory that are available for sale. None of the barrels need to be sold with a fixture body. This would be a great way to acquire what are otherwise some expensive barrels.

A short time ago, we mentioned that StageLight was in the process of moving into a new office for the first time since Covid! It's a modest space near the Astrodome and it featured some startling (some would say disconcerting) 1980's interior earth tones. Those colors are mostly eradicated now but the hard part remains of moving and unpacking eight storage warehouses into it.....oy.

So, how does one go about re-storing and rebuilding a small business after a covid wipeout? A lot of cliches leap to mind.........but mostly a beloved Beetles' tune runs through my head right now.

The community view from 40,000 feet? Well, the soul remains strong, but the body of our performance and educational lighting community still aches. A strong performance lighting community builds itself from within and therein is the problem. After the system shock caused by covid, the community has fewer resources and options now than ever before as so many folks have left the industry.

Our view today? We may be a lot smaller, but we promise to work hard for you, take care of your stuff that breaks down, and be your advisor and liaison to navigate through the wild west of lighting and entertainment options out there these days. We remain unflinchingly committed to our local lighting community. (And, we hope to be hiring soon.)
