The first official CHF Volunteer Training & Certification course was a beautiful success ✨
We are deeply grateful to our co-founder and Programs Director, Ken Henry, whose thoughtful leadership created space for collaboration, curiosity, and meaningful conversation among our new volunteers.
The day was warmly opened by our founder and CEO, Hillary Krebs, whose welcoming words set the tone and helped our newest team members feel connected, valued, and inspired.
This is just the beginning. Stay tuned for upcoming volunteer trainings, pop-ups, and community events—we can’t wait to continue this work together 🤍

As we step into a new year, we’re feeling incredibly energized and deeply grateful. The Coming Home Foundation closed out 2025 with so much success, and none of it would have been possible without the unwavering support of our community partners, friends, family, and supporters. Truly — thank you for believing in this work and walking alongside us.
Now… we’re so excited to share that 2026 is shaping up to be a powerful year of growth, expansion, and impact. 🙏
We have so much we’re preparing to roll out, and this is just the beginning.
🌱 Coming Soon at The Coming Home Foundation 🌱

• Our real estate referral program, creating new pathways for community involvement and sustainable support

• Opportunities for volunteers and community members to get involved and support this work in meaningful ways
We’re also thrilled to be launching survivor-focused, trauma-informed trainings, with our first training rolling out before the end of the month. (Info on how to register coming soon.) Rather than viewing trauma as a single event, trauma-informed care understands trauma as an experience that can be chronic, complex, and cumulative — often shaped by systems of power, exploitation, instability, and inequity. For survivors of human trafficking, trauma may affect decision-making, trust, relationships, emotional regulation, and financial behaviors long after exploitation has ended.
By utilizing a trauma-informed approach, we recognize that healing, housing stability, and financial empowerment are deeply interconnected. When survivors feel safe, respected, and in control, they are better positioned to build lasting housing solutions, develop financial confidence, and reclaim their futures.
