That is why we along with our partners connect our daily work in early learning directly to our long-term goal: doubling the rate of Houston graduates earning a living wage by 2040.

That is the beautiful challenge of teaching STEM in PreK. Keeping little ones focused takes real skill. But when a young learner leans in, asks “why,” and reaches for the next idea, something clicks.
 
Those early moments matter more than they look. When kids explore, test, and wonder out loud at three and four, they build the curiosity and confidence that carry them through every grade that follows.
 
This is what “connecting the dots from PreK to high school” really means. The foundation for reading, math, and problem-solving starts long before high school ever begins.
