Secured Card: It’s like a credit card with training wheels. You typically deposit
around $500 in a money market/savings account; that will set your secured card’s
credit limit.
It’s best to get a secured card issued by a bank because, after 6-12 months of
on-time payments, the bank will likely upgrade your secured card to a regular
credit card.
