Forgotten Paws is running low on supplies while continuing to take in dogs that have nowhere else to go.
Many of our newest intakes arrived with little to no support for their medical care, but we refuse to turn our backs on animals in need. Every day, we provide food, shelter, vaccines, spay/neuter surgeries, heartworm testing, and lifesaving veterinary care.
Right now, our supply shelves are running low, and we need our community’s help to continue our mission.

I’m a 4-month-old Jack Russell Shepherd mix, and I’m currently looking for my forever family.
I’m a happy, playful puppy who loves toys, exploring, and being wherever my people are. I’ve got a sweet personality, a curious mind, and I’m always ready for a little adventure… followed by a nap, preferably on top of you.

Yes, I am a lap dog.
No, I do not care how big I get.
If there’s a lap, I will try to fit in it. That’s just who I am.
I came from the same hoarding situation as my mom, Penny. She’s pretty amazing, and I got lucky enough to have someone step in and fight for both of us so we could get safe and start over.
Because of that, I’m now living in a foster home where I’m learning all the important puppy things—like leash walking, good manners, and that the world is actually a pretty nice place.
I’m still young, so I’m learning as I go. My foster says I’m sweet, smart, affectionate, and eager to please. I think that means I’m doing pretty good so far.

I’m 2 years old, full of personality, and looking for my forever family.

Before I tell you about my love of zoomies, toys, and making people laugh with my goofy faces, I want to tell you about a couple of humans who changed my life.

You see, I came from a hoarding situation. Things weren’t easy, and for a while, nobody really knew what my future would look like.

Then an amazing human came across my situation and refused to give up on me. She kept fighting for me, even when it wasn’t easy. Because of her determination, I got a chance at a better life.

And then she found me something every dog deserves—a safe place to land.

My foster mom opened her home and her heart to me without hesitation. She welcomed me in, gave me a soft bed, kindness, patience, and the opportunity to learn what it feels like to be loved. Every day she helps me build confidence, learn new things, and discover that the world can actually be a pretty wonderful place.

Thanks to these incredible humans and Forgotten Paws, I’ve been given a fresh start.

Now it’s time for me to find my forever family.

Apparently, at one point someone thought I was “aggressive.”

Me? Nelly? The girl who thinks every human is a long-lost best friend and every dog is a potential brunch buddy?

I would like to formally dispute these allegations.

You see, I found myself on the euthanasia list with my puppies. The plan was to save my babies and leave me behind because people thought I was scary.

Spoiler alert: I’m not scary.

Forgotten Paws took a chance on me anyway, and when they met me, they discovered the truth:

June was a quieter month for adoptions than we had hoped, but every single life changed matters.

While we’re grateful for every adoption, many of our dogs are still waiting. Some have been overlooked for months despite being loving, deserving companions.

Rescue doesn’t stop when adoptions slow down. We continue providing food, vet care, preventatives, training, and safe foster homes while they wait for their families.

Hi. I’m Mamas.

About a week ago, I was found after what can only be described as a poor transportation decision involving the hood of a car. Thankfully, a nice human spotted me at a stoplight, scooped me up, and brought me to safety. The second they picked me up, I started purring. I knew I had found someone willing to work for me.

Now I’m living the indoor life, and honestly? I highly recommend it.

I’m an 8-week-old kitten with a busy schedule that includes chasing ball toys, zooming through the house at top speed, and reminding everyone that I am, in fact, the center of the universe.

I can be a little shy when meeting new pets because I like to make an entrance. But once I’m comfortable, I’m all about giving head rubs to other cats and small dogs and making new friends.

Hi, I’m Toms.

I’ve been told I have the best foster mom. And honestly? I do.

She takes me on adventures, lets me splash in the water, tells everyone how amazing I am, and makes sure I know I’m loved every single day.

I even have a foster sister to play with. We run around together, hang out together, and she’s become one of my best friends.

Life is pretty good.

But there’s one thing missing.

A family of my own.

My foster mom keeps telling me that one day someone will choose me. Someone will see my goofy smile, my love for the water, my good manners, and decide I’m the dog they’ve been waiting for.

I’ve been waiting too.

Meet Rip! This handsome guy was found today roaming a construction site in a neighborhood before a good Samaritan safely picked him up, gave him a bath, and treated him for fleas. He has now been turned over to Forgotten Paws where he will remain on a 3-day stray hold while we attempt to locate an owner.

📌 If you believe Rip is your dog, you must provide proof of ownership to claim him.

If no owner comes forward within the hold period, Rip will move into his foster home where we’ll begin getting him fully ready for adoption — including vetting, evaluation, and lots of love. ❤️
