Expansion is taking a lot from me mentally, physically and emotionally. It’s testing my spirit and my ability to trust in all things working out for the good.

I’m doing this 100% on my own financially, there’s no big bank, there’s no grants or partners. Though through it all, I have been blessed with an amazing friend and her husband for help in the buildout. She pushes me on days when I want to cave and give up and stop all of it. She gives me hope that I have a future and it’s all going to workout.

All I need you to do is say a little prayer for our studio and come try out a class in our current studio room.

I look forward to seeing this space done and teaching class in here in January. Thank you for your continued support as we pursue my dream together. I am so grateful for you.

The road to blue belt is a long one and I’m in it for the long haul.

It’s my 2nd stripe and while some would scoff, I’m extremely proud of myself for sticking around and learning about this sport. It also reminds me of what I tell my clients, “we can’t make it to the end without the small goals and steps along the way.”

I started this journey because I make my kids do it and I felt if I made them do it, I should learn too. Jiu Jitsu has taught me more discipline and mental fortitude than I ever had before but what it really offered me was a family and for that I’m most grateful.

I look forward to continuing my journey through jiu jitsu and getting that blue belt one day with
