Member Spotlight: Andrew Garay | HSCF Fi****ms Chair

For Andrew, hunting has been a way of life since he was five years old, when his dad first introduced him to the outdoors. That passion has grown into a lifelong commitment to conservation and giving back.

A member of HSCF since 2021, Andrew currently serves on the Exhibitor Interaction Committee and as Fi****ms Chair for the 2027 Convention. He says the friendships he's built through HSCF are what keep him coming back, but it's the organization's commitment to preserving our hunting heritage and investing in the next generation that inspires him most.

"Less and less people are hunting. There's a lack of desire, education, and opportunity to get the next generation involved in the outdoors. HSCF does a great job of combating that."

Having served on HSCF's Grant Committee, Andrew has seen firsthand the impact of the Foundation's work. The Dan L Duncan Scholarship Program, which supports future wildlife professionals, stands out as one of the organization's greatest accomplishments.

When he's not volunteering with HSCF, you'll likely find Andrew planning his next African safari, he's already been on six and hopes to keep the tradition going for years to come.
