I had an incredible experience attending the Texas Association of Community Development Corporations (TACDC) Conference 2026 in Austin, TX! 🙌🏾💪🏾

It was truly an honor to represent Third Ward Community Development Corporation alongside Uzoma Michael Amuneke and Mr. Theadore R. Andrews as we joined leaders, practitioners, and change agents from across the state who are all committed to strengthening communities and advancing equitable development.

From powerful plenary sessions on the Texas economy and the future of philanthropy, to impactful discussions on affordable housing, community investment, and innovative financing strategies, this conference poured into me both professionally and personally.

Every session reinforced the importance of intentional development, strategic partnerships, and community-centered solutions.

What stood out most was the shared commitment to building stronger, more resilient communities, ensuring that growth does not come at the expense of the people who call these neighborhoods home.

As I continue my journey in community development, experiences like this remind me why I am so passionate about this work. This is bigger than development, this is about impact, legacy, and creating opportunities for generations to come.

Thank you to TACDC for creating such a meaningful space for learning, collaboration, and connection. I’m leaving Austin even more motivated to continue the work in Third Ward and beyond! 💼🏘️💚❤️💛🖤
