The good news is that before foreclosure, there are options that may help you keep your home.

Two of the most common solutions are:

1๏ธโƒฃ Forbearance
A temporary pause or reduction in mortgage payments (usually 3โ€“6 months). The missed payments are repaid later through a repayment plan, lump sum, or added to the end of the loan.

2๏ธโƒฃ Loan Modification
A permanent change to your loan terms to make the payment more affordable, such as extending the loan term or lowering the interest rate.

In simple terms:
Forbearance = Short-term relief
Loan Modification = Long-term solution

The most important thing is not to wait.
The earlier you contact your lender, the more options you may have.
