One of the new projects I’ve inherited. Meet Raf, he is a 1700 pound draft cross with an extremely damaged DDFT. Previous shoeings have required nerve blocks and drugs in an attempt to lift the non-injured limb to trim and apply steel shoes and pads. With the help of Garret Ford from Easy Care we came up with a package and plan to get Raf comfortable and on the road to recovery. todays shoeing went the best it has since the injury six months ago, no drugs or nerve blocks needed. I’m going to continue to post updates and progress on Rafs road to recovery.
