Kids are back to school and runners are gearing up for fall marathons. You know what time it is? It’s time for our official 2023 fall sneaker drive!

Most of you know how this works. For those of you new to this game, here are the details!

We are working with our friends at GotSneakers. Their mission is to keep toxic chemicals from being released into our air and soil by keeping sneakers out of the landfills. Did you know it takes 30-40 years to break down one pair of sneakers in our landfills?

It’s simple! You donate your sneakers to us. We send them to GotSneakers. They rate them and send us money. They either repurpose the sneakers into new surfaces like playground equipment or tracks or recirculate reused footwear to those who want affordable shoes or those in need.

It’s a Win Win!!! You help Serenity earn money to help continue to provide the highest quality care to our senior dogs and cats AND we all help our environment!

It’s easy! Simply drop off your used sneakers at any of our participating locations. Look for the purple collection boxes. If you need a private pick up or would like a gift receipt, please DM us or email: [email protected]. There is a box at VCA Companion Animal Medical Center. They have already donated 5 pair! We will be updating you with more participating locations soon!

Here are some fun facts! So far with our previous 3 sneaker drives, we have collected 937 pair of sneakers! We have received $608.00 from GotSneakers and $475 from private donors. We think this is so awesome! Jay Eiteljorge and the Fishers Running Club have donated the most sneakers at 308! Whoa! They have already donated 12 pair towards our fall drive! Second most has been Alexandria Animal Hospital at 104 pair. Third most has been Jamie Kowalski Clark and her neighborhood at 89 pair.

Let’s beat these records and raise even more money for veterinary care for all of our senior dogs and cats and keep even more sneakers out of the landfills!!!!
