I refinished this one for me! Let me just say that making the creative decisions for your own personal piece is entirely WAYYYYY more stressful than painting for other people.

I used a mix of techniques like color washing, faux woodgrain, dry brushing, etc. to achieve a sunbleached wood look. It’s all about the layers, and I love me some layers! I finished it off with a Paint Couture limewash glaze and unassuming hardware with just the right amount of bling.

The top is a blend of blue and green paint colors from Wise Owl Paint with stenciling from my collection for redesignwithprima. The most beautiful Decor Transfer ‘Elegance and Flowers’ adds color and texture through the center drawers. The addition of the floral moulds from Art Stories by Stamperia on the top row of drawers lends a carved wood effect, making the real statement on this piece! 🤩

Six sides of sunshine! ☀️🪶

I painted this little songbird table a vibrant custom orange, then had fun layering different orange shades for a slightly weathered effect.

Little birds perched on branches were made with Decor Stamps and paint in layers that create a visual texture and sweet little song on each of six sides. The bottom branches were stamped with adhesive and then gilded with variegated metallic leaf that to me mimics the morning sunrise. 🌅
