Our work has been so much easier since we started working with Natanael, our dear friend and advisor in Guatemala! It has been more than two years since our first 24 hour trip to San Pedro/San Marcos just to meet him.

We learned about his work in Guatemala City and we could not leave the country without meeting him although it was at the end of a long work trip around the country meeting artisans and exploring different collaborations.
Looking back, it was the best trip we took because it marked the beginning of a great collaboration.

Designing and developing our first collection together with him was not only a blessing, but also a lot of fun. We are grateful for all the things we have learned from him, for his advice on colors, quality and designs. All the delicious lunches we had with him and his lovely family made us feel at home and forget about the stress and the annoying chicken buses we took back and forth.

The pandemic has had a disturbing impact on the artisans and everyone working with them as there are no orders coming in and the perspective of recovery is very dim.
