Friendship Community Project

A big change--After 11 years, FCP English Classes are downsizing. Because of fewer immigrants coming to the US and very low enrollment this past year, we will no longer be offering 4 levels of English instruction in the Good News Bible Church building. We are not closing the program completely, but for now our fall plans include only a beginning English class ( location to be determined), and 2 intermediate/advanced conversation groups, one in-person and one on-line. You will find details on this page sometime in August.

English classes have ended for the summer, BUT Angie is teaching a summer beginning English class at the Broadway Neighborhood Center:
Beginning English for Adults Class
June 3rd- July 29th, 2026
Wednesdays, 10am-11:30am
at the Broadway Neighborhood Center,
2105 Broadway St. Iowa City.

If you are a beginning or almost beginning English student, you are welcome to attend!

Nancy will have an intermediate/advanced conversation practice group in her home on Wednesday July 8, 15th 22nd, 29, and August 5th and 12th. If you are interested in coming to this group, email Susan at [email protected] for more information.
