This evening I attended the Lexington County Transportation Improvement Plan Open House at Irmo Elementary School to hear directly from residents, planners, engineers, and community leaders about transportation priorities across our county.

Thank you to Lexington County, the planning team, and everyone who organized tonight’s event. If you were unable to attend, I encourage you to stay engaged as the planning process continues.

Your feedback matters, and every voice contributes to building safer roads, better connectivity, and a stronger future for Irmo, Lexington County, and the entire Midlands region.

I look forward to reviewing the public input and supporting practical transportation improvements together.

If you’ve commented about traffic, congestion, road conditions, intersections, sidewalks, or transportation in Lexington County, this is your opportunity to make sure those concerns are heard by the people developing the Transportation Improvement Plan.

Social media is a great place to start a conversation, but public input meetings give planners the opportunity to ask questions, gather details, and consider your feedback as they develop future transportation priorities.
