My heart will always be with those who experience injustice. One of the reasons I became a teacher and, in fact, is my teaching purpose is to give students the representation I never had and be an advocate for them. When I started working in a Detroit inner city school, I learned that I needed to change myself to understand my students and to properly advocate for them. That's when I invested my time to get trained in life coaching. I transformed my thinking brain to a thinking-feeling brain.

Even when you're on the right side of justice, there's work to do. There is always room for growth and understanding. There is always room for humanity.

Why was social injustice always important to me? I was raised protesting, boycotting, and loving the Palestinian cause. Palestine is the reason I am more aware of the oppressed. Palestine is the reason I am involved with healing my community. And my Islam is at its core.

Is Allah ENOUGH? ​​​​​​​​

Obviously. So why isn't your mind, body and soul aligning to that thought? What limiting belief, unpacked trauma, weakened spiritual practice is holding you back? ​​​​​​​​

If this is you, you may have a hard time taking out the variables from the equation and recognizing no matter what formula is used, no matter what connections, efforts, and actions taken place, Allah will always be the answer. ​​​​​​​​

* addressing the problem from the perspective of the creation​​​​​​​​

* misalignment of hope: putting hope in your actions or people​​​​​​​​

* having a need to control the situation ​​​​​​​​

* distrust and past trauma weighing heavily on your vision of the future ​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
