About the organization TSNPAC :-
TSN’s Percussive Arts Centre, Inc. (TSNPAC) is a premier institution dedicated to the promotion and preservation of Indian Classical Music globally. Established on Saturday, February 7, 1998, in Bombay (now Mumbai), India, by Shri T. S. Nandakumar, and inaugurated by Dr. V. Subramanium, former Minister of Maharashtra, the institution was later incorporated in New Jersey, USA. TSNPAC serves as a dedicated hub for teaching percussion instruments such as Mridangam, Ghatam, Kanjira, Morsing, and Thavil, along with the art of Konnakol, rooted in the Carnatic style. Over the years, TSNPAC has organized numerous Tyagaraja Festivals and annual concerts featuring eminent artists such as Dr. K. J. Yesudas, Dr. N. Ramani, Dr. N. Rajam, Prof. T. N. Krishnan, Shrimati A. Kanyakumari, Shri T. K. Govindarao, and Dr. L. Subramanium, among many others, accompanied by TSNPAC students on Mridangam, Ghatam, Kanjira, Thavil, Morsing, and Konnakol. TSNPAC has consistently organized annual concerts featuring distinguished artists, while also actively hosting chamber concerts to encourage and showcase the next generation of musicians. The institution has trained thousands of students worldwide. It has also published textbooks aligned with its curriculum, most notably Roots of Mridangam and Intricacies of Mridangam.

I am deeply humbled and truly honored to be selected for the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award and sincerely thank all the members of the Council for choosing me to receive this honor. I wholeheartedly congratulate each and every recipient of the Sangeet Natak Akademi Fellowship (Akademi Ratna), the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award (Akademi Puraskar) and the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar. I extend my sincere gratitude to each and every one of you for your warm wishes, blessings and kind words. Your affection and encouragement have made this recognition even more meaningful. I offer my heartfelt pranamam to my Guru Shri Kaithavana Madhavadas Sir. I also bow with gratitude to my Appa and Amma Shri Balakrishna and Shrimati Saraswati and all my brothers and sisters and elders for their love, support and inspiration throughout my life. I humbly seek blessings and good wishes from everyone, all the musicians, artists and members of the music, dance and arts fraternity.
